Sophie @ Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition

08/02/2023

E&I researcher Sophie Quach joins the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition as a visiting scholar.

The Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition is a flagship for international research. The central focus of the Institute’s research is on examining processes of innovation and competition and on developing proposals for designing framework conditions for these processes. The research questions are examined by a law department and an economics department.

Sophie is hosted by managing director Prof. Dietmar Harhoff, Ph.D., who is also a member of the newly established International Academic Advisory Board. During her research stay, Sophie has the opportunity to attend research talks and seminars not only at the Max Planck Institute itself, but also from the Munich Economics Network including the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) and Technical University of Munich (TUM). So far, guests speakers were Felipe Csaszar (University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business), Jörn Block (University of Trier) and Ilja Kantorovich (EPFL).

In addition, Sophie will also present her research in the Max Planck Innovation & Entrepreneurship Seminar Series of the Department for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research.
